4 Tips for Better Engagement on Facebook

Engagement. It’s the buzzword du jour, particularly in regard to Facebook. It may have been good enough a year or two ago to just get a lot of people to like your Facebook Page but now you have to somehow occupy the attention of those people as well.

But just as marketers are feeling the pressure to boost engagement, Facebook is raising the stakes. In early October, the social networking giant introduced some new engagement metrics including People Talking About This. As the name suggests, PTAT (also known as just “Talking About This”) measures user-initiated activities, like posting to a Page’s wall, liking, commenting, sharing a Page post or content on a Page, answering a Question posed to fans mentioning a Page, liking or sharing a deal or checking in at your Place.

For Electronic Arts, PTAT offered a new opportunity to try some stuff out and see if it actually boosted engagement. More than three months on, the video game giant’s Madden and Battlefield 3 Facebook Pages posted PTAT rates of 30% and even 44%. Is that good? Apparently, given the PTAT rates of other brands like Angry Birds (15%) and Coca-Cola (5%). (FanPageList tracks the brand sites with the overall highest engagements, but doesn’t rank them by engagement rates. The rates are very dynamic and are constantly updated.)

Chris Thorne, senior director of marketing at EA, is clearly jazzed by the brand’s PTAT score and says the higher engagement has led to a boost in sales as well, though he declined to discuss that topic further. But Thorne didn’t mind talking about tips and tricks that EA used to get those PTAT numbers so high — below are some lessons EA learned from PTAT.

1. Add a Charitable Component

In December, the team behind Madden 2012 gave users another reason to share those updates and likes: Every time they did, EA donated 10 cents to the Children’s Miracle Network, an organization that raises funds for children’s hospitals. “Fans really responded to that,” says Thorne.

2. Use Polls

A status update doesn’t have to be super witty or controversial to get a lot of engagement. In fact, as many industry pros will tell you, the best way to get engagement is to simply ask for it. Hence, some of EA’s greatest engagement during the period came from running polls using Facebook’s Questions tool.

“It’s easy, light engagement,” says Thorne. “You’re just asking questions.”

3. Use Paid Media Judiciously

EA took advantage of a feature that Facebook offers: The ability to increase or dial back on ads based on performance. That was especially important because rather than straight banners, EA relied on Sponsored Stories. Such ad units include implicit recommendations by friends in your network. If you like a comment on the Madden 2012 Page, for instance, members of your network (presumably ones that have a demonstrated affinity for video games and/or sports) will see your thumbs up.

Since some updates go over better than others, though, it makes sense to promote accordingly. A really hot status update is worth blasting to all your friends of fans, but you may want to let a so-so one wither on the vine.

4. Borrow Equity From Other Social Media Stars

In EA’s case, that meant nabbing Freddie Wong, the YouTube director who has (at time of writing) 2.9 million subscribers. EA brought in Wong to make a commercial for Battlefield 3, which eventually ran on TV.

Though Wong is more popular on YouTube than he is on Facebook (his Page has around 500,000 fans), EA’s Facebook fans lapped it up. “We put it [the video] on Facebook to see how the community engaged, and they absolutely loved it,” Thorne says.

David Baser, product manager at Facebook, says while PTAT is so new that there are few case studies to draw on, he believes that EA did just about everything it could do to boost engagement. “There was a lot of really good content on the Page,” Baser says. “They put up things that people cared about.”

Did EA have a special advantage, though? After all, it’s not so difficult to get fans whipped up about a product that’s perceived to be fun. Can you generate the same kind of engagement for a Page about, for instance, floor wax? “We’ve seen highly engaging brands in the 1-2% [PTAT] rate,” Baser says. “My guess is it’s going to be an evolving process based on brand objectives.”

و بعد كده يقوموا مخرجينكم كلكم خارج الغرفه و يقولوكلم إنتظروا عشان اللى نجح فى الجزء ده هنادى على إسمه

و بعدها بينادوا على أسماء إللى نجحوا و هايكملوا المرحله اللى جايه و الباقى بيعتزرولهم و بيعرفوهم إنهم ممكن يتصلوا بيهم يعرفوا إيه سبب انه ماتقبلوش و بيقولولهم إنهم يقدروا يقدموا تانى بعد 6 شهور

بالنسبه لمشكلة الرواتر بايظ فبيدخل مستر معتز عليك و معاه علبة مناديل ويقوم راميها فى وشك على إنها راوتر و هو عميل قدامك و المفروض تحلله مشاكله بالعقل و ترضيه و تحافظ على سمعة الشركه و ده بيكون كاتالى :

فى البدايه العميل بيكون متعصب جداً و داخل فيك شمال و بيسمعك ألفاظ المفروض إنها غير أخلاقيه و دى بتكون نابعه من انه عميل متنرفز
فإنت دورك إنك تتكلم معاه و تحاول تعرف سبب مشكلته و طبعاً هو هايكون رافض و عايز يرجع الراوتر و يلغى إشتراكه فى الشركه فإنت بتحاول تهدئه و تعرف إسمه و تعرفه إنك هاتحلله مشكلته حالاً و للى هو عايزه هايتعمل
و عشان تبدأ تحل المشكله فإنت عايز تعرف إسمه عشان تعرف تتواصل معاه هايقوم قايلك إسمه إيه

و فى الفتره دى هاتقوم زوجة العميل مزعقه و قايلاله إيه ده هو انت لسه هاتتكلم معاه إحنا عايزين نلغى الإشتراك مش عايزين نتكلم
و انت ردك عليها حاضر يا فندم إللى حضرتك عايزاه هايتم هاتقوم هى ساكته

تقوم مكمل كلامك مع العميل

 و بعد كده هاتسأله عن مشكلته هايقولك الراوتر ده بيخرف هاتقوم واخده منه و قايله واله تزعل نفسك ييا فندم شركة تى إيداتا هاتديلك الروتر ده هديه من الشركه ليك بدل الراوتر اللى فيه مشكله
هايقولك يعنى إنت بتبقشش عليا

و طبعاً السؤال غير منطقى لكن إنت لازم تجاوب عليه و تحسسه إنك مقتنع جداً بكل كلمه بتقولها و انت بتقنعه إن التدخين مفيد

يعنى تقوله التدخين بيساعد الفرد على التفكير نظراً لانه بيزيد النيكوتين فى الدم و ده المسؤول عن ان الواحد يكون مركز دايماً
دا غير ان التدخين بيحسسك براحه نفسيه جامده

about my courses and training, I had studied English language course at A U C and graphic diploma at kit center for training with project grade excellent, I worked in kit center for training as a graphic designer for one month only and I left my work because I joined with the military service

Why you left your previous work?

Because I joined with the military service

Tell me a time you work under stress?

When I was working, my managing director asked me to finish all designs creatively in one day in spite of the designs need more than two days to finish I had finished it successfully creatively in one day only

What the biggest thing you achieved in your life?

My project took the best project in the graphic diploma

What is the same relation between the customer service agent and the designer?

Both of them aim to fulfill the customers needs each who in his field

What is the hardest situation you met

before?

When my structure in the graphic diploma asked me to explain some lessons in the Photoshop program to the designers team and I explained it clearly

What is the type of the customer service field?

Why you didn't introduce yourself again to the Kit center? Or any other advertising company?

- I introduced myself to the H R of the Kit center, but I rejected because they considered me forget the rules of the graphic field during the military service period.

- And I introduced my self to the advertising companies but the salary that offered not suitable for me because my salary in Kit center was one thousand and eight hundred

What are you see yourself after 3 years?

i want to be the supervisor of the agents support department

What do you know about customer service?

Customer service is the basic stage at any respectable company, which makes the relation between the customer and his company much better by serving him by perfect way to reach his satisfaction

Why do you apply the customer service offer?

Because I have personal skills qualified me for this job like "good communication skills, good listener, patient, sociable, friendly, Calm, like to help people and I have the ability to work in team work

بالانجليزية fiscal year هي فترة تستخدم بغرض اعداد القوائم المالية السنوية ويتطلب القانون في كثير من الاحيان ان تكون 12 شهر لكن لايلزم متى تبدأ او متى تنتهي ( قد تكون بدايتها في 1/1/ او 1/3 او 1/7 الخ...) وذلك يعتمد على الشركة الا اذا وجدت جهة تنظيمية تلزم الشركة بتاريخ محدد للبداية



2- هل جميع الشركات تتشابه ببداية السنة المالية؟ ولماذا؟



لا، حسب طبيعة النشاط والموسمية او وجود تعليمات تنظيمية قانونية ملزمة. كذلك للمقارنة بينها ومواكبة السوق المالي



3- من كم شهر تتكون السنة المالية؟ وان كانت من 12 شهر فلماذا؟ اي لما لا تكون من 10 او 9 او حتى 8 اشهر؟



تتكون عادة من 12 شهر ولكن يوجد دول مختلفة ، وقد يكون السبب هو دورة المبيعات والمخزون وتحصيل المدينون وسداد الدائنين او يكون للموسمية او التعليمات التنظيمية احد اسباب الاختلاف

المحاسبة المالية هي أحد افرع المحاسبة المختص بتسجيل وتصنيف و تلخيص وتفسير وايصال المعلومات المالية التي تخض الشركات وتكون هذه المعلومات متاحة الوصول للجميع اذا كانت الشركة مساهمة عامة وهي تتبع المعايير المحاسبية مما يخضعها الى التدقيق



المحاسبة الادارية على العكس من ذلك، هي معلومات تستخدم داخل المؤسسات او الشركات وتكون غير معلنة (سرية) ولا يمكن الوصول لها او الاطلاع عليها الا من عدد قليل من المستخدمين من متخذي وصناع القرار غالباً

1_لا تواكب تغيرات السوق

2_غير ملائمة لمتخذي القرار

اما البديل فهو القياس بالقيمة العادلة ولاكن لايتم القياس بالقيمة العادلة وذلك بسبب عدم وجود اسواق جاهزة يتم القياس بها والسوق الوحيد الجاهز والذي يتم به القياس بالقيمة العادلة هو سوق الأوراق المالية (البورصة)

هو قياس القدرة الكسبية للمشأة المتمثل بقائمة الدخل عن طريق مقابلة انجازات المنشأة (ايراداتها) بمجهوداتها (مصاريفها).



الدخل الأقتصادي (مدخل الميزانية) (الملموس) :-

ويتم قياسه عن طريق التغير في حقوق الملكية حيث يتم مقابلة صافي اصول المنشأة في نهاية العام مع صافي اصول النشأة في نهاية العام مطروح منها (-) اي استثمارات اضافية خلال العام.



3.ما الفرق بين السنة المالية والفترة المالية؟



السنة المالية:- يجب ان تكون 12 شهر وان تغطي مواسم السنة الاربعة..



الفترة المالية:- مش عارف بصراحه (الدكتور ظاهر بيجاوبك انشاء الله)

بالانجليزية fiscal year هي فترة تستخدم بغرض اعداد القوائم المالية السنوية ويتطلب القانون في كثير من الاحيان ان تكون 12 شهر لكن لايلزم متى تبدأ او متى تنتهي ( قد تكون بدايتها في 1/1/ او 1/3 او 1/7 الخ...) وذلك يعتمد على الشركة الا اذا وجدت جهة تنظيمية تلزم الشركة بتاريخ محدد للبداية



2- هل جميع الشركات تتشابه ببداية السنة المالية؟ ولماذا؟



لا، حسب طبيعة النشاط والموسمية او وجود تعليمات تنظيمية قانونية ملزمة. كذلك للمقارنة بينها ومواكبة السوق المالي



3- من كم شهر تتكون السنة المالية؟ وان كانت من 12 شهر فلماذا؟ اي لما لا تكون من 10 او 9 او حتى 8 اشهر؟



تتكون عادة من 12 شهر ولكن يوجد دول مختلفة ، وقد يكون السبب هو دورة المبيعات والمخزون وتحصيل المدينون وسداد الدائنين او يكون للموسمية او التعليمات التنظيمية احد اسباب الاختلاف

Detail

Just a Degree?

Everybody being interviewed has a degree. What do you have (i.e. work experience) that sets you apart. And not only do you need to mention work experience, but your accomplishments - they further set you apart.

Bad Paper

The paper your resume is printed on shouldn't be of an inferior quality. While most cyber cafes stock high quality paper, this is still worth paying attention to. A discerning HR at a premium company might be turned off by faded yellowing paper. And only A4!

Useless Hobbies

A hobby is a activity you do in your leisure time. There's nothing wrong with watching TV as a hobby, but the HR interviewing you views your hobbies as an extension of your productivity, and will ask you questions about it.

Fancy Fonts

Times New Roman, Helvetica and Arial are your friends. Comic Sans is not. That said, be safe with only one font for all headings, subheadings and descriptions.

Typos, Bad Grammar

Not allowed. Use short sentences, small, words. If you're still unsure, have it checked out by someone who knows the language better than you.

Lies

If you're caught, not only will you be banned from the company, but you also might be blacklisted from a lot of allied companies.

Embarrassing Email Address

This one is optional, but it is still advisable to change your email username from something irritating (e.g. handsomehunk@mail.net to something simple. The easiest? your name@email.

Honorific Titles and Flowery Language

لو عميل غضبان اتصل بيك هتتعامل معاه ازاى؟

اكيد طبعا العميل ده غضبان عشان عنده مشكلة ومش عارف يحلها ولازم اتفهم كده لان ولازم امتص غضبة و مش هسيبة غير لما مشكلتة تتحل وكمان لو المشكلة دى هتتحل مثلا فى اكتر من يوم لازم اتابع معاه لحد لما اتاكد ان مشكلتة اتحلت ومستحيل طبعا اغضب من عميل غضبان لانى هحت نفسى مكانة ولو كنت مكانة اكيد كنت هزعل زيه بظبط.

If anangry customer called you what will you do

Ofcourse he is angry becouse hehas a problem and he doesnt know how to solve it so I have to calm him down andI will not end the call until I solve his problem and if the problem will takemore than one day I have to fallow with him.

and no way beeing angry with anycustomer, If I will Put my self in his place sure I will be angrytoo.

ما الذي يدفع الزارع الي الكدح والعرق ؟ انة املة في الحصاد

وما الذي يدفع الطالب إلى الجد والمثابرة والسهر والمذاكرة ؟ انة املة في النجاح
وما الذي يحفز الجندي إلى الاستبسال في القتال والصبر على قسوة الحرب ؟إنه أمله في النصر
وما الذي يحبب إلى المريض الدواء المر ؟ إنه أمله في العافية
وما الذي يدعو المؤمن أن يخالف هواه ويطيع ربه ؟ إنه أمله في رضوان ربه وجنته.


الأمل ـ إذاً ـ قوة دافعة تشرح الصدر للعمل،
وتخلق دواعي الكفاح من أجل الواجب، وتبعث النشاط في الروح والبدن، وتدفع الكسول إلى الجد، والمجد إلى المداومة على جده، كما أنه يدفع المخفق إلى تكرار المحاولة حتى ينجح، ويحفز الناجح إلى مضاعفة الجهد ليزداد نجاحه.


إن الأمل الذي نتحدث عنه هنا ضد اليأس والقنوط ، إنه يحمل معنى البشر وحسن الظن ، بينما اليأس معول الهدم الذي يحطم في النفس بواعث العمل. ويُوهي في الجسد دواعي القوة
ولهذا قال ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه: " الهلاك في اثنتين: القنوط والعُجب "... والقنوط هو اليأس، والعجب هو الإعجاب بالنفس والغرور بما قدمته.
قال الإمام الغزالي: " إنما جمع بينهما: لأن السعادة لا تنال إلا بالسعي والطلب، والجد والتشمير، والقانط لا يسعى ولا يطلب، لأن ما يطلبه مستحيل في نظره".


الإيمان يبعث في النفس الأمل:
نعم هذه حقيقة وواقع مشاهد أن الإيمان يبعث في النفس الأمل ويدفع عنها اليأس والأسى.فالمؤمن الحق يرى أن الأمور كلها بيد الله تعالى فيحسن ظنه بربه ويرجو ما عنده من خير
ما أضيق العيش لولا فسحة الأمل
الأمل لابد منه لتحقيق التقدم في كل المجالات ، فلولا الأمل ما شيدت الحضارات ولا تقدمت العلوم والاختراعات ،ولا نهضت الأمم من كبوات تصيبها ،ولا سرت دعوة إصلاح في المجتمعات،وقديما قال بعض الحكماء:
لولا الأمل ما بنى بان بنيانا،ولا غرس غارس غرسا

وفي هذا المعنى قال الشاعر:
أعلل النفس بالآمال أرقبها ما أضيق العيش لولا فسحة الأمل

وقال الطغرائي (الوزير الشاعر):
ولا تيأسنْ من صنـع ربك إنه ضمين بأن الله سوف يُديـل
فإن الليـالي إذ يـزول نعيمها تبشـر أن النـائبات تـزول
ألم تر أن الليـل بعد ظلامـه عليه لإسـفار الصبـاح دليل
ألم تر أن الشمس بعد كسوفها لها صفحة تغشي العيون صقيل
وأن الهلال النضو يقمر بعدما بدا وهو شخت الجانبين ضئيل

وبعد هذة المقدمة الطويلة لا بد ان اقدم لكم هذة الحلقات الرائعة التي تكشف كل غموض عن النجاح .تدفعنا الي التفكير مرة بعد مرة لتحقيق احلامنا وعدم الاستسلام للفشل
