Department Overview:
Since April 2007, the Mid-Market group in Barcelona has operated as a phone based sales channel. We are focused on the small to medium display advertising market by connecting Yahoo's massive global audience with thousands of advertisers and hundreds of agencies (big and small) across Europe. Mid-Market Barcelona is a pan-Euro team with responsibility for customers in the UK, France, Germany and Spain.
The Media Account Management Assistant role is key to the success of the Sales floor and a great opportunity to work at the forefront of digital advertising. The position offers an excellent opportunity for knowledge building and career advancement.
The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the remote Account Management Team and their relevant markets: by managing client and inter departmental relationships you will help retain and grow our client’s business. You will work as an integral part of the Mid-Market team to ensure optimal client satisfaction. You must be a self starter, always proactive, provide problem solving with a can-do attitude while strictly adhering to internal processes and procedures.
Yahoo! has a wide range of advertising capabilities including Direct Response campaigns, mobile, CPA and CPC campaigns and there is a great opportunity to develop and gain experience in these rapidly growing areas.
General responsibilities
· Support the remote Account Management Team by providing them with the required level of account management support (accounts will be bespoke and require varying levels of service).
· Utilise Yahoo! internal systems and tools (for example, Yahoo! Europe Stats)
· Be aware of and implement policies and procedures, for example: ad specifications, bundling requirements, pricing guidelines, turnaround times and general advertising terms and conditions.
· Work to be carried out according to predefined SLAs
Campaign booking
· Campaign booking - from pending to Display IO creation and including revision of order where required. Examples of tasks include checking inventory availability, setting up new agencies and advertisers, notifying Account Management of order approval requirements such as pricing, inventory etc and verification of accuracy of IO documentation.
Campaign management and post campaign tasks
· Display IO report creation
· Provide screenshots of live placements as requested
· Ensure continuous campaign evaluation and analysis with recommendation of optimisation opportunities
· Provide campaign reporting for monitoring purposes.
· Ensure that daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports are delivered
· Prepare post campaign reports/presentations preparation and running ad hoc reports
· Complete internal ad hoc reporting requests for team and management
· Assist in campaign management admin tasks, including billing related inquiries.
· Assist in checking that revenue is correctly recognised for each month and quarter close.
· Monitor campaign related invoicing to ensure accuracy
· Request credit approvals as per email template and process
· Work on special department and group projects as determined by Account Management Team
Requirements
· BA/BS required (Marketing/Advertising preferred).
· We are recruiting to support different markets within the Mid-Market team: UK, France, Germany and Spain. For all positions, fluency in English is a requirement. For the French, German and Spanish market the local language is an additional requirement.
· Proactive self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as a team player (remote and pan-European teamwork required)
· Extremely well organized with a project management approach.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Able to prioritise effectively with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Results oriented with strong attention to detail
· Excellent computer skills.
· Strong customer service (customers are internal Yahoo! departments)
· Strong focus on teamwork and ability to manage relationships across multiple departments
Desirable Requirements
· Strong understanding of online performance based advertising and brand positioning.
· Experience in internet client services, online advertising sales, media buying, brand management, promotions and sponsorships.
· Familiarity with Yahoo! Products and Competitors.
· Knowledge of ad systems technology an advantage.
